Electrolysis is a permanent hair removal procedure, which involves inserting a very fine disposable filament or needle into the natural opening of the hair follicle and a slight amount of electric current is applied to destroy the hair root. Repeated electrolysis sessions will end any further hair growth in that follicle.
It is still the only medically proven method of permanent hair removal. Other methods of hair removal can only claim a reduction in hair, whereas electrolysis is a medically proven permanent method of hair removal. Electrolysis works on all colours of hair, skin colours and body areas.

Of Electrolysis Hair Removal
Electrolysis uses a small amount of electrical current to destroy the root of the hair which is why electrolysis treats all types of hair colour and skin tones. Laser targets the hair by using mild radiation that is attracted to dark coloured hair (melanin) with the help of high-heat lasers, which is why your skin needs to be light and your hair dark. Laser is not as effective on white, blond or grey hair. For this reason, Electrolysis can claim permanent, while laser can only claim hair reduction by the FDA. To this day electrolysis is still the only medically proven method of permanent hair removal.
