HOW DOES ELECTROLYSIS WORK?

Electrolysis is still the only truly permanent hair-removal procedure. Other methods of hair removal (such as laser, which has become quite popular) over time will only yield a reduction in hair. Electrolysis works by inserting a very fine disposable filament or needle into the natural opening of the hair follicle, and then applying a small amount of electric current to destroy the hair root. As different hairs on your body are in different stages of their hair growth “cycle” at any given time, hairs that are in their active “growth” cycle will be destroyed during the first treatment.

Then during subsequent treatments (which are timed to coincide with your hair’s natural growth cycles), all the hairs in their active growth cycle are again targeted and destroyed permanently. Repeated treatments of electrolysis (usually 3-4 treatments, or more depending on how large an area is to be cleaned, or how many hairs there are) eventually kills all the hairs in an area. And the beautiful advantage of electrolysis is that once a hair follicle is permanently destroyed, it is destroyed forever – and will never grow back.
