About Angie
Angie personally knows and understands how it feels to have excessive, unwanted hair growth, and the effect it has on a person’s self-esteem and confidence. Her warmhearted mission is providing a permanent hair solution to all women, men, teens and gender diverse people in a safe, comfortable and confidential space. She is passionate and still excited after all these years about her work. She is also dedicated to helping you achieve your smooth and permanent hair-free face and body you so desire.
In 1988, Angie received her diploma from Eleanor F. Roberts Institute Of Electrology in Boston, Massachusetts USA after completing 600 hours in the practise and theory of Electrology. In 1990, she attained her Certified Professional Electrolysis - designation CPE after successfully writing the certification examination in the presence of the examination board of the Federation of Canadian Electrolysis Association. In 1992, Angie decided to become an entrepreneur and opened the doors of Brooks Electrolysis LTD.
Prior to choosing to become an electrologist, Angie worked as a Community Based Counsellor, teaching independent living and social skills to adults and children with disabilities. Even though she enjoyed helping people with special needs, Angie decided to change her career path to become an Electrologist. When she has free time, Angie loves to volunteer with the Special Olympics Organisation.
As a true Maritimer, Angie was born in Moncton, New Brunswick, before making Halifax her home at the same time as beginning her electrolysis career!
Angie Brooks is a longstanding member of the Atlantic Association of Professional Electrolysis (AAPE) and the Federation of Canadian Electrolysis Association (FCEA)
